ASPIRE CITYGATE, BRADFORD

This was a large residential development in which investors purchased units totalling over £4.1m. The project was never built and was a total loss to investors. We represented a large group of investors in respect of a claim against their conveyancing solicitors.

We used a unique form of funding whereby the investors all assigned their claims to an SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) who then pursued the claim for them.

This removed all risk of the litigation from the investors and also reduced the legal costs meaning that the return to investors could be maximised.

The matter settled before issue. The settlement was on confidential terms.
